20 Easy Outfit Ideas | NSALE 2017 Favorites Under $100

Happy Weekend! Whit and I had a whirlwind trip to shop the preview of the 2017 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale in Dallas and we are glad to be back home and getting caught up on everything here with our little ones. During our sister time today we had an outfit try on session and had so much fun putting together 20 easy fall and winter outfit ideas from pieces from favorite pieces of the Nordstrom sale that are all under $100! We will provide the fit and sizing for each too. Let’s get started!

1.) Classic camel color sweater vest + stripe top | Shop Vest | Shop Top | Shop Denim
This vest is made from oh so soft cashmere for under $100! (one size fits all). It is one of our favorite purchases of this sale! You’ll love pairing this vest with closet staples all fall and winter long! I’m wearing size xs in the stripe top so fits tts unless you want it fitted then size down. The denim are the BP distressed ($42) high waist with stretch. Love these jeans! Grabbed one size up than normal since that’s all they had and they seem ok. We think they probably run about 1/2 size small.

This is such a cozy outfit! The cardigan runs tts, and the v-neck tee is under $16 and in multiple colors. I’m wearing a small in the tee for a slouchy fit. If you like a fitted tee order your regular size. The denim I have one is one our FAVORITE pairs in the sale, the BlankNYC girlfriend crop. They are really soft and have just the right amount of distressing and frayed hem. They are prefect length to avoid alternations. They are under $60. Note that they run at least 1 size big, and I sized down to a 25 to have them not be a baggy boyfriend fit. Add them to your cart HERE (they are fully in stock, yay!!)

This plaid top has a nice relaxed fit and cute tie front detailing. I’m wearing an xs so I think it runs true to size, with a relaxed fit. It comes in 2 other colors and it’s not too heavy. You couldn’t start wearing it now with the sleeves rolled up. I’m wearing these under $40 jeans from Article of Society, called the Carly Released Hem Crop. I feel they run tts and have stretch, wearing regular size 26.

4.) Red plaid button down + distressed denim | Shop Top | Shop Denim | Shop Bag

This BP plaid tunic comes in several colors and is a nice length for jeans or leggings/boots. I’m wearing xs, my regular size. If you are in between sizes or like a fitted shirt you could size down. The jeans are BP distressed, runs about 1/2 size small, wearing size 27 , but will order the 26 to try on if they re stock. The satchel is so pretty and a great designer dupe for only $52.

5.) Cozy cardigan + lace cami | Shop Cardigan | Shop Cami | Shop Denim |Shop Bag

This is one of our favorites purchases of the sale because Barefoot Dreams makes the coziest pieces ever! This is the mocha pearl color in xs/small. I runs tts and I paired it with this lace cami. The cami has adjustable straps and runs tts, wearing xs. Last but not least, this burgundy clutch by Sole Society is under $40!

6.) Leather + blush tee + leopard shoes | Shop Jacket (only $65!) | Shop Tee | Shop Denim | Shop Shoes

This Caslon tee is a rounded v-neck and super soft and easy fit, plus in comes in 16 colors! I’m wearing the light pink color in a size small. It’s a little slouchy on me so I’d say it’s true to size. The denim are under $40 and have a nice amount of stretch plus a high waist and the perfect ankle length (I’m 5’5). They seem to run true to size to me, I’m wearing my regular size 26. Shop them HERE.

This jacket doesn’t run big, so I bought the size small vs xs so I can layer with it. It really looks expensive for being a $65 faux leather jacket! Also, we are so surprised that these Halogen leopard slides are still in stock. they are under $60 and fit true to size. They are even cuter in person!! Definitely grab these before they sell out.

7.) Pocket cardigan + lace inset tunic | Shop Cardigan (only $32!) | Shop Lace Top | Shop Denim

This outfit has such a fun mix of feminine details with the cozy cardigan. The Chelsea28 lace tunic top runs true to size, wearing xs. This BP pocket cardigan is $31.90 and comes in several colors! I bought my regular size xs so I could layer with it. Some others have said to size down but I think it runs tts. Denim are the BlankNYC ones that are under $60 that you will love! 8.) Classic black and white stripe top with a twist (pleated hem!) + black denim | Shop Shirt | Shop Denim | Shop Bag

This stripe terry top with pleat hem details is one of the cutest things of the sale! We love the stripe pleat mix and soft inside. I paired it with these under $40 distressed denim from STS (runs true to size). They are high waist with stretch. If you don’t want a fitted denim, then size up. Shop them HERE.

This plaid tunic top from BP is the same from outfit #4. I liked the fit so much that I had to get a 2nd color! I paired it with these black denim jeans and taupe satchel.

10.) Burgandy knot front top with denim and taupe bag | Shop Top | Shop Bag | Shop Denim

This is one of the softest tops of the sale! It’s a knit jersey combo, with a bit of stretch. This is a size small (borrowed Whitney’s) but I got it in black to wear under cardigans and jackets, and my normal xs fit well. I think we may need it in more colors. Denim are the BP $42 distressed denim.

11.) Knit cargo vest + colored v-neck tee | Shop Vest | Shop Tee | Shop Denim

This knit vest is even cuter in person! We love layering pieces for day to day outfits, and this one also comes in grey. I’m wearing the regular xs but it does run at least 1 size big. I went ahead and ordered the xs petite to see if it fits better, and will give Whit the xs (she normally wears a small). I paired it with the Lush v neck tee (only $15) in a size small. I’d say the tee runs tts, and it’s really comfortable. I plan on ordering more colors for that price + free shipping.

This Caslon plaid tunic is really cute! I sized up to a small because I felt the shoulders/arms ran a bit small, but I also have wide shoulders. It comes in 3 colors HERE. Definitely grab these spanx faux leather leggings, they have fabulous reviews too!

13.) Cold shoulder ruffle top + distressed denim | Shop Top | Shop Denim | Shop Bag

This sweatshirt top has such fun cold shoulder detailing. I’m wearing a size small, so I’d say it runs tts. It also comes in grey, and is under $30.

14.) Cargo jacket + stripe top | Shop Jacket | Shop Top | Shop Denim | Shop Bag

This cargo jacket is a nice length, because you could wear it with leggings and boots. It does run at least one size big. I paired it with this grey stripe pocket long sleeve tee. It has the perfect amount of stretch and is very comfy. Definitely grab it in more than one color!

This BP cold shoulder sweater is going to be so popular this sale because it’s under $35 and comes in lots of colors! I sized down to xxs, it definitely runs at least 1 size big. Whitney has the burgandy color and it’s very cute too. We also wanted to mention that there is a Tory Burch tote bag in this gorgeous light oak color in the anniversary sale HERE.

17.) Bow tie sweatershirt + denim | Shop Top | Shop Denim | Shop Booties

This sweatshirt is one of the cutest ever thanks to these bow ties on the arms. As soon as I saw it, I couldn’t wait to wear it! I’m wearing a size small and it doesn’t seem too big. If you want a non relaxed fit, get tts, if you are in between sizes or want a comfy fit go one size up.

18.) Faux leather jacket and tee | Shop jacket (now in blush this year) | Shop Similar Tee

This is one of our favorite purchases of the #nsale last year and we just saw they brought back 2 colors (including blush! ) We think it runs about 1 size small, wearing small in this jacket.

19.) All White + Cozy Cardigan | Shop this year’s Sole Society satchel in cognac and navy | Shop Cardigan

I love the idea of wearing all one color under a cozy piece like this cardigan from Barefoot Dreams.

20.) Tee and lightweight scarf + denim | Shop Denim | Shop lightweight scarves | Similar Tory Burch tote on sale

There are so many BP and Madewell scarves on sale that are perfect to wear now and later. There is a similar Tory Burch black tote in the sale HERE.

We also had to tell you all about THESE JEANS! They are designer denim for 50% off!! We wondered if they actually were mismatched, but no, it was right! They are $99 vs $199 during the anniversary sale. If you haven’t tried denim from 7 For All Mankind, you are missing out.

These b(air) are a new to us style, and we fell in love. These are a 28 inch inseam (ankle length for most) with a distressed release hem, and medium dark flattering wash, skinny leg fit. They are light weight, but still hold you in. I purchased a size 27 vs my regular 26. I own another pair of flare hem from this brand and also bought a 27 because I feel like they run 1/2 size small but never stretch out. Hopefully that fit guide helps! They’ll be one of the softest jeans you’ll ever wear. 🙂
