Whitney and I live about four hours away from Dallas so we are very lucky that it’s an easy drive. We arrived in downtown Dallas on Friday evening ready to eat, shop and rest! After a quick car drop off with the valet staff, we headed inside to check in and view the lobby. The atrium view was gorgeous!! The courteous front desk staff updated us on all the amenities including a pool, workout facility and free wifi (always a huge plus) and we headed up to our suite.

We were greeted by the most gorgeous roses, personalized gifts, soft music and a stunning 20th floor view. We couldn’t believe how nice it was! From the modern room design, white fluffy beds and large bathrooms – Whit and I felt so pampered! As busy working moms with day jobs, this was exactly what we needed.

We quickly changed and headed downstairs to eat at one of the two restaurants located inside the hotel. Parrino’s Italian restaurant was fantastic. Our server was top notch and we loved everything we ordered. We had the most delicious salmon and handmade raviolis!! We had a lovely chat with the restaurant manger and then spent some time mapping out our Saturday. So many fun things to do!

After heading back to our room and catching up on social media (we couldn’t leave you all out of the loop!) Whit and I decided to get some much needed sleep for our fun-filled weekend.  The next morning the room had the most gorgeous view of the city! We have to say that the beds were beyond comfortable and we slept wonderfully! We tend never to sleep well on hotel beds because they are so hard and sheets are stiff. But, the Hyatt Regency Dallas had amazing room accommodations for helping us get that much needed beauty sleep.

Saturday started off with a private car picking us up outside the Hyatt Regency and whisking us off to the first stop on our itinerary. We had the pleasure of getting to know our driver, Eris, who was so kind and knew all about the city. He took us to see some special spots around the hotel in the westend district before we headed to get dropped off at the downtown Neiman Marcus store.

Whitney and I arrived just as the doors opened on Main Street and we were greeted by Franco Salluce, Fine Apparel Sales Manager at Neiman Marcus Downtown. Little did we know that Franco would share extremely interesting background information and little-known facts that have come to form the mainstay brand as we know it today. We were amazed to learn about this 100+ year old brand’s roots and how everyone works so hard to maintain what the visionary creators put into place.

Each floor has its own unique aesthetic and art work pieces that are simply exquisite. We could have stayed there all day! From the famous popovers to the huge array of one of a kind designer items – what’s not to love?!? Franco, we can’t thank you enough for introducing us to everyone and showing us the exceptional details behind NM. It was truly an honor.

P.S. They have a whole room dedicated to McKenzie Childs!!
