You may remember my airbrush eye tutorial HERE, but today’s look on Whitney is all about using this powder shadow palette to created a smokey look. As with the other makeup items we have reviewed here and here, these shadows are pigmented and have great staying power. They are also easy to blend!

To create a smokey look like Whitney’s: Steps 1-2-3

1.) Lid Color: After shadow primer, apply two medium brown shades of your choice from the middle of the palette to create depth. You can also apply wet to create a “foiled” affect to bring out the sheen in the shadows.

2.) Crease Color: To define the crease, use a small fluffy eye shadow brush to apply one of darkest shades on the bottom right of the palette. Make sure to blend out! Less is more when you are learning how to do a smokey eye. You can also add definition later with more shadow.

3.) Highlight: Take a light (highlighter shade) from the top two rows on the left to blend onto the brow bone and soften any shadow lines from step 1 and 2.

She finished off the look with this eye brow pencil in dark brown. This is a new and improved retractable pencil that helps create fuller looking and more defined eyebrows. We found it easy to hold and apply hair-like strokes to create a fuller brow that we like. You can use the comb tip to brush brows and blend. The brow pencils are on sale HERE too! We plan on mixing both the dark brown shade and black to make the perfect shade for us.

That’s the great part about Luminess Airbrush foundations and shadows, everything can be customized to you! You can see our last tutorials here and here.

Whitney’s oh so cute pink sweater (on sale HERE)  and monograms are HERE (c/o, size large). Thank you for stopping by today!
