Happy Wednesday! We are excited to share our first day recap of rStheCon 2017! As you probably saw from our Instagram, Linds and I attended the reward style conference over the weekend! This was our second year to attend and we had such a fabulous time! We wanted to share all the details with you all in case you ever had been curious about the event.

RSTHECON Day 1 Recap | Eliza J Maxi Dresses

The annual conference is always held in April each year. We’ve heard that the top 300-400 bloggers from around the world are invited to attend. They allow space for about 200. This year the event sold out really fast so Lindsay and I were glad that we purchased our tickets and booked our hotel room early.

In past years the conference has been held at The Joule in Dallas. This year they switched it to Hotel Crescent Court. While we loved The Joule, the new location was perfect for accommodating so many bloggers and it had so many different picture perfect spots – not to mention tons of restaurant choices within walking distance. We had a wonderful experience there {and loved the oh so comfy beds} and already look forward to going back!

The meeting always kicks off on a Thursday. Since we are just 4 hours from Dallas we get to drive instead of fly which is always nice since we can bring more items along {always #packingproblems LOL}. The check in and welcome reception was 1-3pm and then we hurried up to our room to unpack and get ready for the Sole Society pool party that was 5-7pm. We couldn’t wait to meet all our blogging friends!

Linds and I love coordnating, so we picked out blue hued dresses to wear to the event. Lindsay’s dress is currently on major sale {plus free shipping} and also available in navy! The neckline and pleated detail is super flattering. The lining means you don’t need to worry about a slip {or showing sweat if you are at a warm event LOL}. And how cute is this statement bag she picked out? Love how it adds a pop of color and texture to this already bold and beautiful look.

Blue maxi dress (on sale) c/o Eliza J // Floral maxi dress c/o Eliza J // Raffia clutch – Nordstrom // Blue clutch – Tory Burch (similar) // Pinata tassel earrings – BaubleBar // Cuff – Kendra Scott // Pearl Harlow necklace – Kendra Scott

I decided to wear this new arrival that’s also from Eliza J. The cold shoulder ruffle detail and flowy skirt made this dress so chic and comfortable for the pool party. The floral pattern has lots of shades making it easy to mix and match with when it comes to accessories. If you are between sizes we suggest going with the larger size. The straps are adjustable which is a huge plus!

We were excited to meet up with Lauren Bloom to take some photos before the party. She’s so very sweet and talented! We quickly wrapped up pics and head to the 2nd floor to start the pool party fun!

Upon arrival, Sole Society had the cabana room set up with all their new spring and summer arrivals. It was all so cute! We definitely can’t wait to share some items on our blog soon. You can see some of their current new arrivals here.

So now to the best part! We got to see so many amazing girls that we met last year plus meet so many new ones that we’ve followed on Instagram for years. One of our very favorite things about blogging is all of the friendships that we have developed over the years. It’s honestly been such a wonderful thing and we really appreciate all the support that we’ve received since starting our blog. It’s the best!

As soon as the pool party finished up, we went to dinner at Dolce Riveria with our dear friend Amanda from the Miller Affect {you must follow her if you don’t already} and 20+ other blogger girls. It was delicious and we had a wonderful time getting to chat with so many new and old friends.

Thank you so much for stopping by our blog today and stay tuned for our Day 2 recap that will go into the details on the main stage session as well as our classroom sessions.

P.S. BaubleBar is having a huge up to 50% off spring favorites sale HERE!!
