Chic & Comfy Style + Our Work From Home Tips

Happy Friday!

Whitney and I are so excited to partner with Ann Taylor today to share some new spring outfits plus some Work From Home tips with you all! Now that we’ve been in quarantine for more than a month it was a nice treat to get out of leggings and style these new arrival outfits for you all a few days ago. It worked out perfectly since we had a Zoom meeting later that day and were already video ready!

As you may not already know, Whitney and I have had our blog for eight years {we are putting together a really fun anniversary post for you all soon} and have blogged full-time for three years now. It’s definitely such a rewarding venture to get to work with your best friend and sister!

We’ve been able to develop some tips and tricks from working from home now that we’ve been doing it for much longer than just the quarantine time. Before we do that though, here are details on our on trend layered looks that just came out at AnnTaylor.com! You can also use code “TAKE30” to save 30% off our entire outfits! Now its time for outfit details!

Now for some productivity tips that will help you get the most done whether you already work from home full time like we do or are currently working from home during the stay at home period.

The DoubleTake Girls WFH Tips

1. Create a Dedicated Workspace – I used to work from pretty much anywhere in my house. I finally decided it was time to get a desk so it would keep my kitchen table and my dining room table clear. It’s definitely been a huge help!

2. Set Specific Working Hours – Creating a set schedule helps you get your work done like you would if you were at an 8am-5pm office setting so that you don’t end up working bits and pieces for 16 hours straight. I’ve made that mistake for sure!

3. Get Ready As Soon As You Wake Up – This might sound very simple, but the days that I choose to wash my face and put on my make up helps me wake up and have more energy to tackle the work day.

4. Get Dressed – This will definitely help you be more productive! Just like washing my face, when I get dressed first thing in the morning it definitely helps me get more done during the day.

5. Prioritize Your To Do List Daily – Update your to do list each morning and categorize the top three items that must get done that day. Set an alarm for 30 minutes when working on a task that you don’t want to overtake your morning or afternoon. Don’t look at new emails during this time. This will help you stay on course and not distracted.

Now for some more cute outfits! Are you on the hunt for some new arrivals that are easy to dress up or down? Here are four outfit ideas that were loving for spring and beyond.

Those pants look ridiculously comfortable – and they’re so, so cute! I bet they’d look equally fabulous dressed down as they do dressed up the way you two styled them. I may need to get myself a pair!
