For today’s fall makeup look we wanted to focus on our EYES! We are big fans of a moderate smokey eye and we found two sets that help you effortlessly create an on trend makeup look. Here are the items we used to create our eye makeup combinations!

1. Bobbi Brown Travel Size Cream Shadow Sticks

We love cream shadows so much so as soon as we saw this Nordstrom-exclusive, travel-size set we had to order it! It contains four long wear shadows in Vanilla, Taupe, Golden Pink and Dusty Mauve. They apply so easily and don’t crease throughout the day either. This fabulous set is only $30 + free shipping too!

2. Bobbi Brown Modern Symphony Eyeshadow Set

This Nordstrom-exclusive palette filled with eight ultra-blendable eyeshadows. We love the limited-edition packaging by artist Cecilia Carlstedt too. Each eyeshadow is silky and layerable so you can blend out and build up to create any effect.

Now for our eyeshadow application secrets!!

1. Always use a cream shadow paired under your traditional shadow! This locks in your shadow and stays out for 18+ hours or even longer. Plus it makes it very sweat / water resistant too! We’ve used these Bobbi Brown shadow sticks for years and they work perfectly!

2. Use a damp eyeshadow brush to apply your powder shadow on top of the cream shadow. This step is an extra way to create long wear. It also means your shimmery shades are even more eye catching! It makes such a difference and now we always use this step regardless of how simple or glam we make our makeup looks.

3. Use a large mirror to apply your eye makeup instead of your wall mirror. So this step means that you won’t have any eyeshadow fall out on your cheeks. So what you do is apply your eyeshadow while looking down at your mirror that’s placed close to your face but parallel to the floor. I know it sounds funny, but it’s another game changer! You never have to worry about eyeshadow specks on your cheeks. This Riki lighted mirror is one of our favorites!

Now that we’ve shared our secrets, here are the shades used to create our fall eye makeup looks!

Step 1: Use the Bobbie Brown cream shadow in vanilla all over the lid.

Step 2: Use Bobbi Brown powder shadow in shade “cream” under brow bone.

Step 3: Use shade “vintage velvet” blended in crease.

Step 4: Apply the cream shadow stick in shade “taupe” on just the lid and finish with blending the powder eyeshadow in shade “earth metal” just on the lid.

Blend out with a clean brush from the Luxie eye kit and voila!

Here are some additional items that are perfect things to give you a flawless makeup look all year long!

1. Too Faced Born This Way Palette

We love that this palette contains three shades that are great for so many different skin tones. They range in sparkles as well so you can find the perfect luminous shade for you. The least shimmery shade is perfect for under the eye to make you look well rested!

2. Benefit Highlighter in Cookie

A few months ago a friend recommended this highlighter to me and wow it is so gorgeous! You could definitely use it as a highlight under your brows and down the center of your nose as well.

3. Charlotte Tillbury Beauty Wand Highlighter

This liquid highlighter is a gold shade and has amazing reviews! I purchased it several months ago and have so enjoyed using it. You barely need a little dab!

4. Urban Decay Fixed Pressed Powder

Looking for a great setting powder? Then you need to try this new powder from Urban Decay! It comes in so many shades and is great at keeping your makeup set all day.

5. Beauty Bio Eye Gels

And we can’t forget that we always use eyepatches when we have an important event or photo scheduled because they make such a difference! These new eye gel patches from Beauty Bio have amazing reviews and they work so well. You all will love them!
