I’m so excited to share a look back at my OFFICE CLOSET REVEAL day! It’s been officially a year since we finished this amazing transformation with California Closets Oklahoma! We’ve received so many questions in regards to this gorgeous design done by California Closets Oklahoma that we wanted to do an anniversary review post with all the details! If you have been following along our blog then you will already know that my family and I moved to a new home a few years ago that needed remodeling from top to bottom. We’ve slowly renovated the whole house and I’ve been in the process of decorating room by room. You all may remember part one of my office makeover the previous year. I loved my first California Closet wall SO much that I decided that my office needed an additional storage/feature wall!
I had an amazing experience working with California Closets for part one that I knew part two would be so easy! Jerrie from California Closets Oklahoma understood my vision for my closet wall and I was so thrilled with how she made the space not only beautiful yet functional. We wanted to add more long hanging storage for dresses, large drawers for sweaters and jeans, as well as additional shelving for bags and shoes.

My office room originally had old carpet and massive dark brown built in units all along the back wall. We had to rip everything out and start from scratch. Since the room doesn’t have a closet, I knew that storage was going to be an issue. But thankfully California Closets is all about providing storage solutions!

I initially reached out to California Closets Oklahoma {they have an amazing showroom in Edmond, OK} for a free consultation. They are available for a complimentary consultation either in your home or virtually too! Jerrie {the lead designer} is so amazing and was such a joy to meet. She shared all about the process of creating a dream custom closet for my space and all the many offerings that were available.
She looked over the main types of clothing, shoes and bags that I wanted to store to make sure all the compartment dimensions would work perfectly for storing and displaying my items. We also went over hardware options, paint colors, trim options, lighting and much more. There are truly SO many options and special features when it comes to creating your dream space with California Closets.
// Design Process //
The local team I worked with is SO talented and I loved seeing their creativity go to work with putting together my custom design options after our initial meeting. They created not only one but several 3-D designs based on my wishlist, budget, room dimensions and display needs and presented them to me via email so quickly! My space for my closet wall is about 8ft wide and 10ft tall. I decided to take the closet to the ceiling height to maximize storage. I loved all of the options they provided to me but finally narrowed it down to the design you see here! They placed my order and within just a few weeks it was time for installation!
// Installation Day //
Installation Day was such an exciting day and I couldn’t wait to see it all come together! The California Closets of Oklahoma team arrived early that morning with everything needed to complete my installation. They were very courteous and professional and made sure that everything was covered from their path from the front door into my office.
The team of two was able to get my closet wall assembled in less than a day. I couldn’t believe how fast it came together! It was such a fun surprise to go into my office for the first time once they were finished. It was so stunning even without any items organized in it!

Jerrie also added large storage drawers at the bottom of the closet wall to accommodate folded clothes likes sweaters!

My husband also added wainscoting to the west wall of my office to add dimension to the wall and I loved how in brought the design of the two closets walls together.
