Hello Lovely Readers~
I’m excited to be back on the blog today with my first outfit post of 2014! As a new mom during winter, I don’t get out of the house as often as I’d like to. So when I do have plans for a little sister time with W – I like to dress up! The key with this outfit is four easy pieces. This simple combination keeps me feeling casually comfortable yet chic! First, choose a skinny ankle pant that has stretch. This is a closet staple! They can be worn any day of the week, year around. We like these as a great option. Second, choose a printed top. This one is a long sleeve, scoop neck cotton version from Old Navy. I purchased this one for under $10, and it’s very comfortable! Third, add a layering piece like a blazer, trench, vest, etc. For this outfit I chose a new favorite: the sleeveless trench! We purchased these in tan and black from overstock.com this fall. We looked high and low for an affordable option. A DIY version would be to find an affordable trench coat (Old Navy has some great options) and take it to your tailor to have them remove the sleeves. Overstock.com has a few sizes left in both colors… so hurry on over to check for your size! And last but not least, add color and sparkle with your accessories! A red statement bag and crystal necklace did just the trick. Oh and don’t forget a bright lip
