W shares a maternity dressing tip…and makes it to the 3rd trimester!

Happy Thursday!  I have exciting news to share: I’m officially in the 3rd trimester now!  It seems like it has gone by very fast.  Well, except for those handful of afternoons of practically dozing off at my desk or on my drive home (queue the snacks and music).  In just weeks our little baby girl will arrive!  Guess that means I should get started on the nursery.  There’s just too many options to pick from – what’s a indecisive girl to do?

So while I ponder wall colors and bedding, I will go ahead and share my maternity dressing tip of the day: get use out of a non-maternity tunic or blousy shirt by adding a simple fabric belt.  I took this black tie sash off another dress and paired it with a wide width shirt that has been in my closet for years.  Using the tie belt with this tunic top helps provide some definition so I don’t look like a balloon.  The best part is it allowed me another shirt to wear from my current wardrobe.  Finding items like this in my closet keeps me from feeling the need to rush out and buy a lot of maternity shirts, which my husband certainly doesn’t mind.  So experiment with different size and color sash/belts from dresses or shirts you may already own.  You will be surprised with the cute combinations you can come up with!
